SNDKON is the Ondo-issued token that tracks the total return of SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK), and this week it did something the NASDAQ tape could not: it traded straight through SanDisk's Q4 earnings reaction without pausing for the closing bell.
SanDisk reported fiscal Q4 2026 after the close on August 5, 2026 — revenue of $8.97 billion, up 372% year over year, GAAP net income of $6.90 billion, and an 84.6% gross margin. The stock still sold off. As of August 6, 2026, SNDK last traded at $1,351.76 against a prior close of $1,427.62, and was down roughly a further 6.9% in after-hours dealing on a Q1 FY2027 revenue outlook of $10.3–$10.8 billion that Wall Street read as light.
SNDKON absorbed both moves at once. On CoinGecko data at the same timestamp, SNDKON printed $1,245.06, down 12.3% over 24 hours, with a 24-hour range of $1,232.51 to $1,469.53. That is the story worth understanding before you trade it — not the token's definition, but what a 5,409-token float does to price when news lands outside US market hours.
SNDKON is issued by Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited as a total-return wrapper on SanDisk common stock. It is not a synthetic, and it is not a CFD. Each token is backed 1:1 by shares held at US-registered broker-dealers, with an independent verification agent reviewing the backing daily and a security agent holding a first-priority interest in the collateral for tokenholders.
"Total return" is the part people skip. SNDKON reflects price movement and reinvested dividends, net of applicable withholding — the token's value accretes rather than paying out. What it does not give you is legal share ownership or a proxy vote. You hold economic exposure, not equity. If that distinction matters to you, the mechanics of the whole category are worth reading first: how tokenized US stocks work covers the custody and rights trade-offs across issuers.

The token lives on Ethereum (0x71E2400CF1Cb83204f33794eD326636A71a9AAfC), BNB Chain, Solana and HyperEVM. US persons are excluded by design — that exclusion is what keeps the product outside SEC jurisdiction while still referencing a US-listed security.
Context on the underlying: Western Digital completed the SanDisk spinoff in February 2026, and Ondo launched SNDKon the following month. The NAND flash shortage that followed handed SanDisk pricing power most memory cycles never produce, and the stock ran roughly 857% in the first half of 2026.
Here is the comparison no price page on the first page of results will show you, because it requires stitching two different tapes together.
| Metric (as of Aug 6, 2026) | SNDK (NASDAQ) | SNDKON (on-chain) |
|---|---|---|
| Prior close / 24h open | $1,427.62 | ~$1,420 |
| Last print | $1,351.76 | $1,245.06 |
| Move | −5.3% cash session, −6.9% after hours | −12.3% over 24h |
| Session hours | 9:30–16:00 ET, weekdays | Continuous |
| Range | Intraday $1,192.63–$1,441.76 (Aug 5) | $1,232.51–$1,469.53 |
Run the arithmetic. SanDisk's cash-session decline compounded with its after-hours decline implies roughly $1,258 per share. SNDKON printed $1,245.06 — about 1% below that implied level. The wrapper is tracking, and tracking reasonably tightly, but it front-ran the discount that SNDK holders will only see on the open.
That is the practical use case, and it is the one the price aggregators bury: SNDKON is a live quote on SanDisk when the exchange is shut. Traders who want to react to an earnings print, a NAND pricing headline, or a weekend supply-chain story have somewhere to express it. The cost of that convenience is the next section.
SanDisk generated $8.97 billion of revenue in a single quarter. The entire circulating supply of SNDKON is 5,409 tokens, worth roughly $6.8–7.6 million depending on the venue snapshot — a rounding error against the underlying company, and small enough that a few six-figure market orders set the price.
Liquidity is also fragmented across venues that do not share a book:
| Venue (SNDKON spot, Aug 6, 2026) | Pair | 24h volume |
|---|---|---|
| KCEX | SNDKON/USDT | $1,106,058 |
| LBank | SNDKON/USDT | $855,790 |
| Ondo Stocks | SNDKON/USDON | $410,979 |
| MEXC | SNDKON/USDT | $95,575 |
WEEX has run its own SNDKON/USDT spot pair since 06:10 UTC on April 6, 2026, per WEEX's SNDKON listing notice. Add it to the table above and the picture does not change: there is no single deep venue, so the same token can print materially different levels at the same moment. On a volatile day, WEEX's market page showed circulating supply of 5,409 and a market cap of $7.569 million while CoinGecko's aggregate showed 5,477 and $6.82 million — a gap that reflects snapshot timing and venue-weighted pricing, not a data error.
What experienced traders do with that: size positions against the visible book, not against the market cap. CoinGecko measured roughly $50,000 of +2% depth and $39,000 of −2% depth on the deepest venue. A $100,000 market order moves this token. Use limits.
The routing question is simpler than most guides make it. SNDKON has two access paths, and they are not interchangeable.
Direct from the issuer, non-US investors can mint and redeem through Ondo Global Markets with a $1 minimum, zero issuance fees, and 24/5 availability. That path gives you the true net asset value but requires onboarding with Ondo.
On a centralized exchange, you buy the token on a secondary market. On WEEX that means funding USDT and trading the SNDKON/USDT pair — no brokerage account, no Ondo onboarding, and the order fills against the exchange's book at whatever premium or discount the book is showing. Check the WEEX fee schedule before sizing, and check the mark against the underlying before you hit the bid.
One operational note from the listing notice: deposits and withdrawals were flagged "available soon" at launch. Confirm current transfer status on the pair page rather than assuming the token can be moved on-chain at will.
The custody structure is the strong part. Bankruptcy-remote issuance, US-registered broker-dealer custody, daily verification of backing, a security agent with a first-priority claim — that is a materially better arrangement than the 2020–2022 generation of stock tokens, which regulators shut down for operating unregistered.
The structural weakness is timing. Minting and redemption run 24 hours a day, five days a week. Secondary trading runs seven. For roughly 48 hours every weekend, the arbitrage mechanism that keeps SNDKON pinned to SNDK is switched off, and nothing forces the price back to fair value except a market maker willing to warehouse risk it cannot hedge. If a major memory-sector headline breaks on a Saturday, the SNDKON quote is a poll of whoever happens to be awake, not a redemption-enforced price.
That is where people get hurt in this product — not custody failure, but paying an emotional premium into a thin weekend book and then watching Monday's mint window reset it.
Because SNDKON is a total-return tracker, its drivers are SanDisk's drivers plus a liquidity overlay.
| Driver | Current state (Aug 2026) | Why it matters for SNDKON |
|---|---|---|
| NAND contract pricing | Industry checks point to 75–100% increases | The margin engine behind the 84.6% Q4 gross margin |
| Q1 FY2027 guidance | $10.3–$10.8B, read as light | The bar SanDisk must clear in the next print |
| Capital returns | Additional $14B buyback authorized | Supports the underlying, not the token's float |
| Analyst positioning | 18 buy / 1 sell, average target $2,217.77 | Consensus is long; crowded trades unwind fast |
| Token liquidity | ~$2.5M daily volume, 5.5K tokens outstanding | Amplifies every move in either direction |
The more useful reading of the current setup: SanDisk beat on revenue, net income and margin and the stock still fell. That tells you expectations, not fundamentals, are the marginal price-setter — and expectations reprice faster than NAND contracts do. SNDKON, sitting near $1,245 against a June 25 all-time high of $2,370.84 and a March 31 low of $555.57, has already demonstrated it will travel the full distance in either direction.
For a broader view of exposure to the memory cycle, SNDKON sits alongside other Ondo-wrapped semiconductor names — SK Hynix and Taiwan Semiconductor among them — which lets you express a sector view without holding a single-name float this thin.
SNDKON does one thing genuinely well: it turns SanDisk into a 24/7 instrument for investors outside the US who cannot open a brokerage account, and it does so with a 1:1 backing structure that has held its peg through a violent earnings week. The trade-off is a $7 million float across five venues, a redemption window that closes on weekends, and no voting rights.
If you want SanDisk exposure with continuous access, SNDKON is a reasonable vehicle — traded with limit orders, sized to the visible book, and checked against the underlying before every entry. If you want ownership of SanDisk, buy the share.

1. Is SNDKON the same as SanDisk stock?
No. SNDKON gives you economic exposure to SanDisk's total return — price plus reinvested dividends — but not legal share ownership, voting rights, or shareholder standing. It is a token issued by Ondo Global Markets and backed 1:1 by shares held at US broker-dealers.
2. Why is the SNDKON price different from the SNDK price?
Three reasons: SNDKON trades continuously while NASDAQ does not, so it reflects after-hours and weekend moves first; the token's float is tiny (5,409 tokens as of August 6, 2026), so individual orders move it; and mint/redeem arbitrage only runs 24/5, leaving weekends unpoliced.
3. Can US residents buy SNDKON?
No. Ondo Global Markets explicitly excludes US persons. That exclusion is a deliberate regulatory design choice, not a temporary restriction.
4. Does SNDKON pay dividends?
Not as a payout. Dividends from the underlying SanDisk shares are reinvested net of applicable withholding tax, which accrues into the token's value rather than arriving as a separate distribution.
5. Where can I trade SNDKON?
SNDKON/USDT is live on WEEX, and CoinGecko also tracks spot books on KCEX, LBank and MEXC plus SNDKON/USDON on Ondo Stocks. Non-US investors can mint and redeem directly with Ondo at a $1 minimum, 24 hours a day, five days a week.
6. What was SNDKON's all-time high?
$2,370.84 on June 25, 2026. Its all-time low was $555.57 on March 31, 2026 — a range that tells you more about position sizing than any forecast will.
Crypto assets and tokenized securities are volatile and may result in partial or total loss of capital. SNDKON carries risks that a direct SanDisk shareholding does not: a circulating float of roughly 5,400 tokens means slippage on modest order sizes, liquidity is split across several venues that do not share a book, and mint/redemption arbitrage pauses on weekends, allowing the price to drift from the underlying with no mechanism to correct it. You are also exposed to issuer and counterparty risk at Ondo Global Markets and its custodial broker-dealers, to smart-contract risk across the four chains the token is deployed on, and to regulatory risk in a category where rules for tokenized equities remain unsettled and vary by jurisdiction. SNDKON confers no voting rights or legal share ownership. Availability is restricted to non-US persons and may be further limited in your region.
