EIA Raises Oil Price Forecasts for 2026 and 2027

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has released its Short-Term Energy Outlook report, projecting that the price of WTI crude oil will be $80.88 per barrel in 2026, an increase from the previous estimate of $76.26 per barrel. For 2027, the WTI crude oil price is expected to be $65.39 per barrel, up from the earlier forecast of $60.76 per barrel. Regarding Brent crude oil, the price for 2026 is projected to be $86.81 per barrel, an increase from the previous estimate of $81.91 per barrel; for 2027, the Brent price is expected to be $69.39 per barrel, up from the earlier forecast of $64.76 per barrel.
